  • The address in the Pittsburgh area matters quite a bit. Part of the area has Comcast, part has other smaller cable providers. Verizon FiOS is available in spots. It's honestly a messy situation, and it can very depending on which street you're on.

  • Thanks - that's still very useful info.

I'll have to wait for an address before I can get more specific.

We're still in the property acquisition phase - though I expect this to move along quickly.

  • Hi Robert, Random IT Flunky (love the name) is right.  Just like Real Estate, the most important thing in Telecom is Location, Location, Location.  Also, I should point out that IT Flunky's comment on Comcast and FiOS is based on the "cable providers" (which do have an enterprise offering for dedicated fiber).  We're probably looking at Verizon LEC so VZ or VZON Copper & Fiber.  Unless you are moving into a building that is lit by another provider (i.e. TW Telecom AKA Level 3, Zayo, etc.) and has their own ring.

We are a telecommunications master agency with over 100 carrier (and 250 suppliers globally). and have better than direct pricing.  Once you have the address, we can check floor ICB rates from all available carriers.

  • Any idea even what neighborhood it is? Lots of places outside the city proper have a Pittsburgh address, complicating matters further.

  • We have Level 3  and they are great.

Yes, Phil - you did a great job for us in LA (in fact, look for an email about a new location we have down there - just found out about it a few days ago and it goes live Q1.)

As soon as I have an address, you'll have it.
