A couple weeks back, I posted links to some whiteboard videos we were trying out about "Storage Basics" and "Ping & Traceroute". Based on the great responses, we decided to create another video giving an overview about the Domain Name System - "DNS Basics".
Like the last two, the idea is to have entertaining videos that cover IT concepts at a "summary level" - not too deep-dive, just a couple minutes long, and hopefully lots of fun too. (This time Doug, Holly, and I had some amazing help from two great Actors, Leigh and Theron).
Anyway, check out the video (it's going to live here on a "Research Guide" in our Product Selector section if you want to see it again in the future) and for more in-depth info, take a look at the DNS Providers directory and the DNS group.
We're still experimenting and would love to know what you think.
So if you have a great idea for another topic, please suggest it here. (The topic we're currently working on is the most popular suggestion from the original video post. Care to guess what that was?)
Think someone you know might find this useful? Don't forget to share it with them.
Hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it for you.
Update: We've created a new video called "What is RAID?"
