Is it really your decision to make? Should you not weigh the cost-benefit of each alternative and propose the option to the person paying you to manage their IT?
I get it, the more manual the solution then the more you provide service hours to a customer, and sometimes that prevents the 'what am I paying this guy for' scenario of a solution which requires less IT intervention.
Just saying...not all customers benefit from or truly want the cheapest solution but most of them don't know why.
That's supposed to be what they pay you for.
Weak and infirm IT solutions are the low hanging fruit of MFP VARs looking to unseat IT only service companies with their own.
Every copier salesperson coming through the door is gunning for you so paint that target!
