  • Does it got a cmos battery? Can you pop that out for a few minutes and reset everything?

  • I don't know why OP gave thumbs down for the above reply but the only way to overcome this issue is removing the motherboard's battery and replacing it after a few minutes to reset the BIOS/firmware password.

  • That's what I thought I would have to do.  My IT boss highly encouraged me not to take the surface apart.  That it could take up to 8 hours and break and not be worth the time to try and reset the motherboard. I haven't taken a surface pro apart before so I don't really know what is involved but I really hate thinking the stupid thing is going to be such an expensive paperweight now.
