  • In my experience, Veeam is a fickle creature. Especially the community edition. I've had to scrap my entire configuration, delete all associated backups and reconfigure the infrastructure and backup plan. Hate to relay bad news, but hopefully it's helpful.

  • As far as I know, there is no Veeam Agent way to remove the restore points from the backup chain other than automatic retention unless you are using fully-fledged Veeam B&R for that purpose https://www.starwindsoftware.com/blog/manage-backup-of-physical-machine-from-veeam. That said, you should probably recreate the backup job from scratch or run an active full on an existing one to restart the chain, supposing you are using an incremental option.

  • Hi,

I find that if you right clicking the trail icon, "view cache", there are one "delete cache" option.

    These resolved my problem.
