  • So you're looking to play something specific when an agent places a call on hold? Or are you looking for Huntgroup / system hold?  Also, it'd be helpful to know your IP Office version number along with your VM Pro deployment (Windows/Linux).  Thanks!

  • Nickolai.tv It would be very helpful to know both system hold and also when an agent places call on hold. IP Office Version number 8.1.810.0 and Windows deployment.

  • Technically, you can upload a wav file to the systems but it only allows short messages.  We use a Message on-hold player.  Its just a glorified mp3 player on an infinite loop.  We got ours through a service that provides professional voice over and licensed music.  www.onhold.comOpens a new window

You could do it your self with a jury rigged mp3 player or buy your own Message on hold player https://a.co/d/6bbABKCOpens a new window

  • Also, in IP Office Manager, check the Help Index and search for music on hold.  It'll display the topics you need to implement it, either with the system source or an alternate source along with the file paths to use. VM Pro handles your voicemails and call flows.

The audio for when someone is placed on hold escapes me at the moment, but I'll dig around some more.

  • How can I setup a MOH for a hunt group using the system source and add queue and still queued?

  • In Manager, on the Hunt Group, go to the Announcements tab.

Check the box for Announcements On, and then it's pretty self explanatory as to the settings - how long to wait before the first announcement, what to do after that announcement, how long to wait until the 2nd announcement, should you repeat that 2nd announcement and how long to wait before doing so, and which music source to use.

Once you have that, in Voicemail Pro, find the Group, right click and add Start Point. Add Queued and Still Queued. Now you can add Generic actions to play the 1st announcement in the Queued start point, and a different (or the same) announcement in the Still Queued action. You don't need to do anything to have the caller go back to hearing the hold music after the announcement plays, it is automatic. You can, however, use a Menu instead of a Generic Action, where the caller can press something to jump out of queue and go somewhere else, like leave a message instead of waiting to be answered.

Give an overview of what you want the caller to experience, and I can help you design the call flow. Things like, "I want the call to ring 3 times, then hear "All Operators are busy, remain on the line", then hear music on hold for 30 seconds, then hear "All operators are still busy, remain on the line or press 1 to leave a message", then hear music for 60 seconds before that 2nd message repeats. If the caller presses 1 go to the Sales Manager's mailbox. "
