I need to backup and export in a particular way and can’t deviate from my
clients requirements :)
Office 365 Tenants and G Suite (or
other google naming incarnations of the same animal...) all files and all
emails need to be backed up on local Windows kit (cannot be backed up to the cloud and id much prefer windows as Linux just isnt my bag ;), once “a
company” is backed up I then need to export said backup to my kit (Local hdd, NAS other server etc), in standard
files with emails ending up in .pst format.
Most likely this will be a one time backup per company (please be aware of
the licencing issues that may arise here…), with many many companies being
backed up (once) over time.
I do have other clients who need only their 365 / Google stuff backing up on
a regular basis, but that would be a bonus and not my main requests here for
I have looked into some packages,
but they don’t do the whole job so I end up messing about doing things manually which
is far too time intensive and prone to errors. I’m after a solution that will be
pointed in the right direction and simply get on with the backup and report
back, then once the backup is done and happy I simply say “go put all those
files and emails (.pst) over there please…..” and of it goes and does what it
said on the tin.
