I have an issue, S, I am using a thermal printer S4M, It doesn't have a network port so I am using a network to parallel port print server (From Stratech) connected with the printer to print over the network. Now, When I map the printer with windows 10, No issues, I print the test page it prints and the queue gets clear. But when I do the same from a server, even when printing is done, the queue says printing and is stuck on it and won't print next unless I go in queue and delete the Printing status job.
At first, I thought it was because of bidirectional communication as it is waiting for the job status but I disabled that in the port configuration in printer properties but it doesn't help.
Then, I thought maybe the 515 port is getting blocked or something, but there should be no incoming data due to bi-direction communication being disabled it doesn't make sense. Just for the testing sake, I turned off the firewall, and no it doesn't seem like the firewall was the issue as the problem persists.
