  • If you use Securly, specifically the Securly for Chromebooks extension, they had an issue with an update which should be resolved. You may want to check your extension version.

Are you 100% sure?  Are you absolutely certain that nobody at the school level found and installed a trial version of something without documenting it or telling you?

We had something similar in our district (maybe still do) that scans all sorts of things, but sends alerts to principals and our tech director. Since I'm not in the IT department, I don't know what it was called, but our director did come into my area to vent about the deluge of ridiculous e-mails she was getting and what was being flagged. :)

  • Yeah, on that I am not 100% sure. The weird thing is it is affecting everyone and there are not notifications. The message simply populates in random text boxes and while editing grades etc. We have the network pretty locked down not allowing any 3rd party software without approval, however it is possible. Thanks

  • We are experiencing the same issue and we do use Securly. I will let you know what I find out.
