    I don't think that's it, there's a sub select which has a group by, and after that the sub-select has an on clause and the main/parent query has a where. 

    For OP, I'm confused by your question, so no, it isn't easy. Can you re-state it? What are the nulls that are giving you issue? Can you exclude the rows with Null, or do a replace on the values that are null so they do not affect your sums?

  • I'm not certain whether ive understood your question correctly, however I think you are getting multiple lines because Fcstdate, startdate, and totpcst all have different values so the query has to spread them out. You could try adding Distinct just after the selects to see if that does it, but I doubt it.
