So it’s partially working however I tried to do this on another field called Rank, which Had a previous CASE statement to rank it, long story short, for testing this code I removed that and added what you gave me, and it’s only showing 0 or the original rank. This is what I have
When Scratched = “1” then Rank = ‘S’
When Withdrew = “1” then Rank = ‘W’
When Eliminated = “1” then Rank = ‘E’
ELSE Rank = Rank
END) as Rank
I have also tried using “S” , “W” , “E”
That didn’t work either. I also remembered that I had set that column to int, so I had changed it to varchar, but that didn’t work either, still showing 0
Any suggestions to try?
I don't think it's correct to say "rank = whatever" as that's going to be interpreted as a boolean statement. Just do "When Scratched = "1" then 'S'" with no assignment. The assignment is implied.
