Two years ago, I switched anti-malware products for my home systems.  After decades with the old provider, I switched to Webroot.

Today, I noticed a change in the Webroot icon, so I opened the status form.  It informed me that my subscription was going to expire soon.  After pulling up my original invoice, I saw that it really had been two years.  I had not thought about Webroot much at home because it didn't need constant attention.

I clicked the renew now button to see how much renewal was going to cost.  Based on decades of experience with the old provider, I expected renewal to cost 150% or more of the original cost.  Often times with the old provider, I just bought it new again instead of renewing.

Well surprise, surprise!  it was actually a little less than my original purchase price!  Without further ado, I renewed direct with Webroot.  It took about 60 seconds and in a few minutes, my desktop status form reflected the renewal.  Wow.  that was easy, pain free, and did not insult my intelligence!

Webroot, you have a fan.

Edited to add clarification that this was for a personal system, not business.

I don't know why they all can't be that way.

Renewing my Veeam support took dozens of calls to at least four vendors. Renewing Cisco Umbrella was a nightmare.

I despise AV software that costs more to renew than it does to buy brand new!

It's pretty insulting.  Who wouldn't want to renew for $75 when you can buy it new for $35? 🙄

I have had the same experience at home.  Webroot just keeps on running.

We do Veeam renewals with 1 call, in our sleep, blind folded, with both arms tied tied behind our back.

I had not considered Webroot at home before. We use it at the office and it has been quite easy to manage. Now that my current home AV product has expired I will consider switching after I take a look at what they offer for multifamily systems.
Thanks for sharing your experiences.
