  • This is posted in mysql but you're talking about powershell?

Why PowerBI for this and not something purpose built for monitoring like checkmk or another monitoring tool?

  • Hi

    Answers updated

I did not see a Spiceworks section for Power BI, and was thinking of SQL for the database Maybe!!

    Completed

    I have used the following:

    1. Powershell > created two scripts to get

      (a) HDD Status for all servers
      (b) Server Uptime status for all servers
      (c) Export to CVS logs in each script for each server

    2. Task scheduler: Run a task for each script HDD, Uptime.
    3. Power Bi Gateway updates and pulls the info for live dash reports

Only one issue with one task not running from the scheduler

  • michaelquinn - Would you mind sharing any details of the actual commands? I've just been exposed to using PowerBI for dashboards and the items you were monitoring were of interest to me. Thanks.
