  • Hi, I do a 30/45 minute training session with new users on Google Workspace, I go over the basic stuff and things they need to be aware of, for example removing the permission to share a doc or folder when you share it with them.

I am about to record myself doing it so I can give it to volunteers.

Happy to share my Doc that I use but it is just a list of items I show them.

    • Are we assuming they've never used spreadsheets, word processors, or presentations before?

    • The better assumption to make is they are used to using Word, Excel and Powerpoint and still have the notion that Docs, Sheets and Slides is a baby version of what those MS apps can do. I want to show them they can do much of the same things, and in some ways, more and better things with them they can with the MS versions. On top of this though, I also want to focus on how Drive works, sharing permissions, differences between My Drive and Shared Drives, Shortcuts, etc.
