  • I'm thankful for my wife, the new(ish) baby, and all of my digital friends. This season I'm most looking forward to some much-needed festive spirit and comfort food.

  • I am looking forward to the IT change Freeze our company puts in place, and the ability to see a few things slow down a bit for a couple of days.    Also time with the family.

  • I'm looking forward to pie.  Unfortunately it won't be a home made pie from my mother's kitchen, stupid 2020.

  • I'm looking forward to having an entire turkey all to myself. Turkey dinners, followed by turkey sandwiches, and finally turkey casseroles with the last bits. Then I start cooking for Spicemas!

  • I'm looking forward to a day when we, the American people, can welcome each other to our homes and lives, to put the hatred aside, and share love with one another by giving thanks for our countless blessings. Thanksgiving is fun with family but is best when spent thanking a stranger for their service to our family, community, state, nation, or our world. Hug a fellow American, they may just hug you back. ;)

  • I'm thankful that I get to take a break this year and not have to spend $500 and 3 days cooking 1 meal.  Not to mention the chaos that is left behind after having a house full of people.  The dishes... oh the dishes...  We will be having some good ol Texas BBQ (on paper plates) this year instead.  I am going to make a pumpkin cheesecake for desert.  More time to play Minecraft with my kiddo.

PS - Yes, I will miss being with ALL my family instead of just my immediate one. Still, nice to have 1 year off.

  • Thankful for my wonderful wife, the best thing about 2020 was getting married. Looking forward to sharing Thanksgiving at safe remove with four grandkids (and a fifth on the way!) and the families of my three new sons. We'll just have to share the smoked turkey over FaceTime, but it's the thought that counts!

  • I am looking forward to a long weekend. Spending time with my wife, son, Daughter, her husband and my grandson. I remember last year he was only a few months old at Thanksgiving and I still was unsure how I felt about being a "Grandpa". I've since put those insecurities to rest. He's so cute!! And I'm his favorite human being. So as we close down and quarantine more I am glad I get to spend it with all of them. Also excited for cooking up some great eats.

I'm with you!  Roast turkey is my second favorite food after grilled steak.  At the end, we don't do turkey casseroles but instead, creamed turkey on toast.  Yum.

  • My children, both doing fine as grownups. The Spiceworks community, without which doing my job would be way more difficult. A holiday in which everyone can participate, regardless of color, creed, or orientation. An entire day I get to spend in my kitchen. My electric guitar; turn it on, turn it up, and bang out some power chords. Perfect stress release!
