  • Where would I post a question about my spiceworks account? I have some issues to solve with it But I can't find the proper support forum where to post it.

Hi Imprecator, that depends on what account you're talking about (Community, Cloud Help Desk, on-prem, for example). Your best bet would be to reach out to my team (community@spiceworks.com) or the Application Support Team (support@spiceworks.com) and we'll be able to help you out.

  • I've e-mailed them with issues several times and have reeived no responses. Now we're locked out saying it's due to security rules. Startling to think this platform is not what it makes itself out to be.

Hi grievejosh, I'm not seeing any requests in our support ticketing system attached to the same email address your Community Account is attached to. Is it a different email address? Feel free to private message me or email me directly, if that helps: sean@spiceworks.com

    • And how did you distinguish between not receiving any responses, receiving responses blocked by your firewalls, and receiving responses landing in your SPAM or junk folder?

    • Locked out of which tool, tool edition or platform?
    • And how do you distinguish of tool instance becoming deactivated due to time of inactivity?

I don't know if an account may get deactivated after a month, three months, six months or one year of inactivity. And I've not seen any documentation specifying such a threshold. Depending on further context in such a case, you may contact support by email and they may be able to reactivate your account. They may need further details to be sure to identify the correct account and to check authorization.
