We have a 450 mail archiver. We have been using it for 4 years using a self signed SSL. This has to be renewed every year, but the process is very simple. We save the settings on the device, download the SSL and distribute with a GPO. Usually takes all of five minutes. This year when we generated the new SSL, the Outlook client will not trust it and our users are being prompted to ignore (which Barracuda techs claim means accept) the error and continue. Barracuda support is now telling us that a self signed SSL is not supported and never has been. The fact that they set it up that way when it was installed and we have been using it that way for the past 4 years is irrelevant. I have been fighting with their techs and getting no where fast as the response times to emails can take hours or days, and we have now been informed that "support is not available" while they are doing updates to their servers. In a nutshell, we are using a self signed SSL, browsers (IE, Chrome and Edge) all accept the SSL, list it as valid, trusted, and allow the web management interface to be used. The computers also show the SSL as being valid and trusted, but the Outlook client for Barracuda states it is not trusted. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
