  • Wassup Nicholas!  Great questions and we can definitely help ya out here.

First off, we are a large Granite Partner and can tell you that as an aggregator, they are the biggest shop there is.  The sales pitch is good but unless you are working through a large partner with visibility at literally the CEO level, you are going to have a tough time unless you are  big logo shop.

The good news is that there are many great providers that go up against Granite all day every day and offer a much better client experience, lower pricing and without many of the billing and other issues that drive folks mad.  Better portals and visibility as well in my opinion too.

The right partner here depends on the type of services you are aggregating, your geography (we do this globally so there are different and better options if you have any locations outside the US) as well as other projects that are in flight that may be part of the overall 30K ft view (Field Services, UCaaS/VoIP, WAN, Security, Colo, Cloud etc).

I should point out that we partner with 350+ ISP, VoIP and Cloud Providers directly in addition to the aggregators as well as 1600+ Data Centers worldwide - all with better pricing than going direct to any provider directly, but more importantly, significantly better support and escalaton channels.

Hit me up via PM here or request help on our website: www.commquotes.com/spiceworks and we can help shorten the list and positon the best and most cost effective players here.

  • BTW, would be good to understand what the issues are specifically.  For example, Granite subs out most of their field services and we have seen an overall decline in the "pool" of field techs that are used. If your sites are somewhat remote or in less populated areas, the pool of techs is even smaller so in that case, going to another provider may not help since even the competing field service companies (field nation, concert etc.) all pull from the same pool.

If the issues are support and product related, that is a different story so good to understand so we can better respond. OR just give a shout out and we can talk live :)

  • Sorry to hear that Granite is dropping the ball, Nicholas.

As an enterprise ISP and telecom broker for 17 years, I can tell you the good (and bad news), is that you have plenty of solid options... probably too many. It's a lot to sift-through but that's where I can help.

PM me and I'm happy to set up a quick discovery call and give you my handful of top choices.

Granite is what I'd term an "aggregator" ISP. Moving customer-owned LAN hardware, etc. is not exactly a standard offering for many aggregators, but there are still plenty who can do these things.

Is Granite also handling your telecom?

  • This is an older post but interesting. I'm with a large WISP in Canada and looking for a list of Aggregators. Any assistance would be most appreciated!

  • I'm in the same situation.  We're currently using Granite for ISP prequals (business), telecom, and consolidated billing. We also have several unmanaged residential accounts which would be nice to do something with..if possible.

Well then shoot me a PM... We have dozens of other options to consider that will cost less and give you the experience that you need.  Not to mention having a trusted advisor and advocate by your side that actually can help you navigate through problems and the typical frustrations dealing with ISP, VoIP and Cloud and all IT procurement activities.

  • Update on this request.  I reached out to people in the Telemarketing business about getting a list of Aggregators/Resellers and working the list for me.

Several showed interest, but nobody got back to me with a plan of attack.  I think this is a very specialized niche.  Best route is to speak with Mike and Phil who know the players in this market.
