    You can use VNC to remote access your Mac. I’ve used TigerVNC client for that very purpose.

    Enable Screen Sharing in Preferences. Hit the “Configure Settings...” button and configure. That’s all there is to it.

    There’s some lag, but it works.

    • Just go to System Preferences -> Sharing on your Mac and tick Remote Management checkbox specifying further options and features. After doing this you can use any VNC client to connect to it. I am using Royal TS/TSX https://www.royalapps.com/ for this purpose since it supports multiple protocols and allows me to manage various remote systems from the same application. It is free for up to 10 connections.

    • This might be a good opportunity to try out Apache Guacamole which is a clientless remote desktop gateway and supports SSH, RDP, and VNC. Once it's setup, you can use a web browser to connect to your various clients.
