I have a Mac Mini that is running as an caching server, that is currently on my desk. Ideally I would like to make it headless and place it in a network cabinet.
What I'm unsure about is about how I can control it remotely. Truthfully, I am looking for a solution that is free.
We have a small number of headless Raspberry Pi devices which are in use on display televisions around the building, which we use VNC to manage. I believe though that this is only free on the Raspberry Pi.
The other restriction is that it has to run entirely over the LAN. I use Chrome Remote Desktop on my machine at home sometimes, but this would be blocked by our firewall.
I'm very unfamiliar with Mac. When I have Googled this, all I can find it how to enable terminal access, which is not what I'm looking for.
Edit: To say that this is the only Mac that we own, so I would be looking to connect to it from Windows.
