The only thing I could think of is updating the firmware on the printers, which would require you to be connected locally via USB.
Give this a try:
Probably not a fix, but it's worth a shot.
I am getting errors only on my HP Color LaserJet 3600n printers. The errors printed are as follows:
PCL XL error
Subsystem: KERNEL
Error: MissingData
Operator: VendorUnique
Position: # (number varies each printout)
I am using MS Server 2008. The PC's have Windows XP Pro 32 bit. I have uninstalled the printer from the server, readded it, updated the current drivers. Also unistalled the printer from the workstations and reinstalled it. Changed the network cable from the printer to the plug. Havent changed the wiring from the switch to the plug yet...thats the next step.
Does anyone have any suggestions? This is driving me insane!
