  • And unfortunately, as of next Friday, I will be in urgent need of work.  I found out this week that my contract has been cut.  :-(  I have experience in help desk, technical training, IT management, systems administration, project management, and PBX administration.

  • I'm so sorry, I will be sure to keep my ear to the ground and let you know if I hear about anything.

  • It's a bad time to be getting news like this, to be certain.  :-(

  • Morning fellow Spiceheads. We currently have an opening coming up in our company for a Help Desk person. But I also want to possibly grow this into a type of application specialist who would do end user training and customer communication liaison both remotely and in the field.

For anyone who doesn't already know, our business is Physical Security: Video Surveillance, Access Control and Intrusion detection. In some ways it's 101 IT basics, but in non-traditional IT industry ways. It's something different.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, professional deportment and a good head for discretion is a must. (Don't always resort to blaming the crappy software to the customer.)

Private message me if you wish to be anonymous. I will not discuss or reveal inquires made by fellow Tampa SpiceCorp members with the group to respect privacy. Of course you're free to discuss to whoever you want. :)

  • Maybe we should have a separate thread for "This is the thread for folks posting jobs." .... ?

I'm not sure - my intent was for one stop shopping, but feel free to make an additional one.
"This is the local job opportunities post" and I will make it a sticky.  Please be sure to date the post with an anticipated closing date OR post when the position has been filled.

  • Just curious to see if anybody knows of any companies who might consider sponsoring a green card/visa for a Brit who wants to move into the area.

  • Folks, I'm also looking for work in the area. Currently a Linux admin and would like to continue that. I definitely want to relocate to the area. Please let me know if anything comes up or you have any insight into something. Tampa, St. Pete, Clearwater, etc.

    The sooner, the better :)

  • Thanks I'll look into it!

Also, I only need about 2.5 weeks between accepting an offer and relocating, if that helps.

Any and all are free to apply. But have to say there won't be any Linux work, which you said you wanted to stick with.
