According to an April 2020 Gartner report,
74% of CFOs plan to permanently shift some on-site employees to
permanent remote positions after COVID-19. That includes almost a fourth
of respondents who plan to transition at least 20% of their workforce
But while some businesses have had a successful transition to remote
work — enough that they even plan to make some of it permanent — many
are struggling. We talk with businesses every day that have no
work-from-home strategy. They need their workers to be efficient, as
soon as possible, but they don’t have the tools they need or the IT
resources to deploy, secure and manage it all. They don’t know how long
this disruption is going to last, and they can’t afford to wait until
everyone’s back in the office.
I'm trying to find about more info around this service? Is this OnTap running on top of AWS EBS?
Jul 30, 2020 at 14:36 UTC
Based on our community of enterprise tech professionals, NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP ranked first in its category. It is designed to run on top of Amazon EC2 compute instances and the storage that it uses is the AWS EBS. To learn more about its pros and con and particular use cases, you might find it helpful to look at user reviews for NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP on IT Central Station here: https://www.itcentralstation.com/products/netapp-cloud-volumes-ontap-reviews/tzd/c1350-sf-19

If you are getting blocked by our gate server then the resolution would be to have the recipient whitelist your domain or IP. I can refer you to the postmaster to see what is causing the issue. Can you email me directly? Katherine.Reed@rackspace.com, just include all of your information and examples of the recipients that you're unable to send too.

Is the Spiceworks discount still available for resellers?
Mar 12, 2019 at 17:11 UTC
Thanks for your question! We still do offer the spiceworks discount, however, it's only for direct accounts, not resellers as resellers already get preferred pricing.
You can create a ticket to our billing team to get it applied to your account.
The average organization manages more than 300 applications, while application management consumes, according to Gartner, more than a third of most organizations’ IT budget.
Today’s buzz-phrase solution is “application modernization,” or the process of updating and optimizing applications to support new technologies and digital initiatives. But many companies still take a traditional IT-centric approach to application modernization, seeing it as function of devops or traditional IT architecture where the goal is to refactor, re-purpose or consolidate legacy software.
Smart companies understand the real promise of application modernization: delivering differentiated business value to your organization and your customers by transforming the application environment for greater efficiency, agility, scalability and interoperability. They also understand that application modernization is continuous journey, not a one-and-done project.
We are a G Suite user now with about 500 +/- emails. Our manufacture is now requiring email security, because they can. Looking for a solution that meets the needs in the attachment. Can you help?

Can you elaborate what you understooded from your "attachment" ?
Then your "manufacture is now requiring email security, because they can" ..... what do you mean by that ?
Who needs the Google Suite and who needs that "attachment" ?
Sep 12, 2018 at 17:42 UTC
I accomplish most of these requirements in Office 365 by using mail flow rules. It seems that G-suite has the same type of thing called routing. Read this article from Google. https://support.google.com/a/answer/6297084
You should be able to use this to filter incoming and outgoing emails by attachment file types, content, etc. If they have regex, I would recommend learning regex so that you can filter with regex to remove phishing links that hide what they are using regex such as thisText
You could also use regex to detect social security numbers, credit cards, etc.
With Rackspace email are you able to restrict login access to certain IP's only?

I've created an account and setup two users. The first I used to create a shared calendar. The second user can see this calendar on webmail, but it does not seem to appear on Mobile devices (only the second users own calendar). Is it not possible to view a shared calendar on mobile?

Also, how do you select which users to share documents from your cloud drive with? It seems you move it to public, and then everyone has access.
Hello. I am a Rackspace Reseller and have recently run into a confounding problem. I have sent in a product feedback for in the portal, however I would like to comment here as well in the hopes of generating significant feedback.
After an extensive clarification call with Rackspace Support, I understand that the SfB offered by Rackspace only allows communication within the company, and no communication with an outside entity. I have been told that if we were to move the whole domain to Office 365, then the SfB there would allow full communication. Here is my problem:
As a reseller for Rackspace and for Microsoft, why would I bother talking to Rackspace at all if I am going to go full Office 365? The attractiveness of Rackspace is the ability to have a hybrid environment where I can have cheaper emails for service accounts and employees that do not need full Hosted Exchange. The problem I am facing is that several clients have a genuine need for SfB. In one case, I have an enterprise client with 20 domains, each a legitimate company that we are attempting to bring on board. Rackspace's hybrid environment is extremely attractive to them for the cost savings. As it is currently set up, however, each of this company's domain users could not even talk to each other over SfB, much less customers and vendors.
Here are my thoughts: 1) Offer a less expensive version of Hosted Exchange for service accounts, etc. (I have seen this at other large resellers). 2) Open up Skype for Business as fully usable to those Hosted Exchange users in a domain under Rackspace. We would accept this even if there were a small charge to add the service.
As it is right now, I am having to scramble to find another conference/collaborative solution as powerful as Skype from a third party. To anyone reading this, if you have suggestions for a solid alternative to Skype for Business, I would greatly appreciate it.

I totally agree with you ! This is the dilemma we are facing when thinking about transitioning to Office 365. Mainly the lack of cost effective option for the service accounts. The times I've talked to Rackspace, they've mentioned the Exchange kiosk accounts which are limited to 2GBs of storage and can be set up as IMAP or POP3 accounts in Outlook. This doesn't seem like a viable option to be honest.
