The Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM) is observed in October and started back in 2004 by the Department of Homeland Security and the National Cyber Security Alliance. The goal is to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity.

Now in it's 18th year, it raises awareness about the importance of cybersecurity across the globe and continues with the theme of “Do Your Part. #BeCyberSmart.” This theme encourages individuals and organizations to own their role in protecting their part of cyberspace, stressing personal accountability and the importance of taking proactive steps to enhance cybersecurity.
